About Brooke

Brooke Brannon writes dark, quirky fiction, teaches writing one-on-one, and provides freelance editing services for authors and publishers. In 2022, she earned an MFA in Creative Writing with Distinction (equivalent to summa cum laude in the States) from The Manchester Writing School in Manchester, England. There, she won the Michael Schmidt award for excellence in a final manuscript. She has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has won awards for her nonfiction from the Society of Professional Journalists. And she has no idea how to make that photo smaller, which is why she's padding this section out. Hurray for paragraph breaks! She is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (US), ProCopywriters (UK), the Horror Writers Association, the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association, the Society of Authors (UK), and The Writer's Union (UK). She and her partner Paul split their time between England and the upper Midwest. Need an editor? Brooke offers copyediting and developmental editing for both corporate B2B clients and fiction writers. Need help? Email Brooke.
